Sunset Shadows
Sunset shadows your face
how easily my heart does race
edge of your lips appeals
is this how love feels
to be lost in thrall of another
ready to give up all the dating bother
settle down with just one person
no longer relationships tobe cursing
instead run fingers along fine down
of your limbs so delicate found
muscles working underneath
always smiles never grief
must be an romantic projection
there must be some rejection
some tarnish to this shining dish
one cannot meet every wish
hold my breath as we kiss
focus on the light headed bliss
and reflect on the shadows deep
which lie across your face as you sleep
and to my amazement I discover
they are the only darkness I can uncover
and those shadows dress you better
than any fashion house with royal letters
and so I sensually trace your recumbent form
which to my sense of beauty you do conform
I never set down what those rules of beauty be
but in you my heart does always beauty see.
